Many couples today come into the marriage agreement having already shared many moments together.  They have discussed the weighty areas of life and the details of their particular relationship in matters such as finances, children, sexual needs, dreams, desires, goals, etc.  Pre-marital counseling in this time amounts to some fine-tuning of these topics.  More importantly, it delves into the richness of their understanding of and connection to God, as well as, how their individual spiritualities mesh in a mutually-uplifting way.

Couples Counseling

We all have issues from time to time. No one is perfect.  No relationship is perfect.  It’s good to be able to confront those issues and talk about problems in the safety of a comforting, affirming environment.  Both sides need to be heard, through active listening and validation, and appropriate feedback given when necessary so that both parties feel affirmed and uplifted. The ultimate goal with any counseling is the mutual growth and wellbeing of both parties in the relationship.
